Discipleship

ABC will advance in the call to both know God deeply and live on mission for God fully. We will strive to grow in spiritually-sensitive relationship with the Lord, knowledge of the Bible, worship, spiritual disciplines, prayer, stewardship, seeking the filling of the Spirit, living for the gospel mission, and leading others to do the same through various means, including mentoring relationships. These will be hallmarks of the ministry of ABC.

 

Engaging Others

ABC will proactively focus our attention outward to the community, region, and world (Acts 1:8). We will strive to actively find and operate in our mission fields as individuals, families, and as a church. We will strive to be hospitable hosts, seeking and implementing ways to help visitors feel welcome and cared for at worship services and other church functions. We will develop intentional partnerships with international missionaries to foster a deeper heart for global missions.

 

Engaging One Another

ABC will strive to love one another well. In order to do so, we will be a serving community, with people operating in their gifts and passions for the building up of the church body (Eph 4:11-12).  ABC will strive to be a deeply caring community, providing opportunities for people to find healing, encouragement, and exhortation in relationship with other believers through group life.

 

Power of God

ABC will actively seek to know, embrace, and rely upon the power and filling of the Holy Spirit for living lives of passionate worship and ministry engagement. The focus of ministry will be the person of Jesus, not the works of Jesus, while trusting Him to accomplish what He will in us and through us.
