The Plan - Relationship with God
God loves YOU. He created you to be in a relationship with Him.
-
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16 -
Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." John 10:10
Ready to Trust Jesus?
If you are ready to trust Jesus with your life, here is a sample prayer. God knows you and cares about the attitude of your heart, not the specific words you say.
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Please forgive me. I turn from my sins and invite you to come into my heart and life. I choose to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me and giving me new life. Amen.
If you prayed that prayer in faith, today is your spiritual birthday! Congratulations!

The Problem - Sin
Sin separates you and me from God. "Sin" is an archery term that means missing the mark. The Bible uses this word for our mistakes or choices that are contrary to God's will. Every one of us has made them and the consequences are grave.
-
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
-
For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23
The Good News - Jesus
Fortunately, God has provided a way to solve the problem! God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who lived a perfect, sinless life, to die on the cross in our place and for our sin, so that you and I could be forgiven. Jesus rose from the grave to conquer sin and death. He is alive! He offers you eternal life with Him.
-
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
-
Christ died for our sins…He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Our Response - Surrender
When you and I realize we need Jesus to save us from our sin, we have a choice to seek His forgiveness or not. Choosing to trust Jesus is an act of turning (repenting) from our sin and surrendering our way, in order to accept accept Jesus' forgiveness and God's plan for our lives.
-
Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. Acts 3:19
-
If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:9-10
The Result - Salvation
All who trust in Jesus are saved and receive three gifts:
1. The promise that all your sins are forgiven.
-
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14
2. The promise of the Holy Spirit living in you to empower you in faith.
-
When you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him. Ephesians 1:13-14
3. The promise of eternal life with God in heaven.
-
Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. John 5:24
-
The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
